The contents of Kit 24 less the load platform

Tuesday 8th May: Kit 24 arrived today.  Despite this being kit 24 of 24 it is the13th kit to be delivered and marks us passing the half way stage.  The largest item in this kit is the load platform but due to supply issues it will be shipped in a few weeks time.

As with kit 23 I intend to put this kit to one side until the majority of my Foden is complete.  I note in the instructions that an additional hole has to be drilled in the front water tank to install a vent.  I shall get on a do this before I paint the tanks.

Tuesday 26th June: Out of the blue there was a knock on the door and it was City Link to tell me that I had two parcels.  My excitement soon lessened when I saw that both boxes were long and thin and nether was the overdue cylinder.  The wood for the load platform had been sensibly packaged into two boxes one containing the planks and the other the beams.  A quick check showed the wood to be of good quality Oak and Ash but I did not unpack it completely as I shall be putting this kit into storage for a more appropriate time.
