The contents of Foden kit 7
Friday 15 December: The rear wheel kit was
delivered today. It came in a sizable box though it was mainly
filled with the two rear wheels complete with tubeless tyres. There
was encoring news regarding the differential gears though we are going to
have to wait until the end of February for them to be delivered.
Since fitting the differential will require removal of the back axle I
will only be temporarily fitting the wheel.

Saturday: Assembly of this kit did not take very
long.
When I fitted the hubs to the axle I did not bother to fit
the keys since this was only a trial assembly. The right hub slipped
on easily but the left hub required a little felling. Fitting the
wheels was trivial but when I came to fit the wheel trim I found that the
cut-out for the inflator was in the wrong place. So far I have
slightly elongated it so that I can at least fit the trim but I am going
to have to find a more aesthetically pleasing solution.
Monday: I have contacted Steve and it would seem
the prototype wheel differed from those supplied for the production
batch. Replacement trim plates should be supplied with the next kit.
