The contents of Foden Kit 6

Thursday 26 October: Just like busses; no kits for ages then two come along one after another. As promised this kit includes the bearing grade Loctite but I was surprised to find some bearing shims. Now had I actually checked the contents of kit 5 I would have found them missing.

I was very pleased to find that ModelWorks have supplied domed wheel trims which will hide the true nature of the wheels.

This kits is not going to take long but I will have to wait until I have attended to kit 5. The only part that requires painting is the wheel trim and I will do this at the same time as the front spring which has now been returned by ModelWorks.

Friday: Whilst I was dry assembling the front hub I decided to check the fit of the front tyre. I had originally not planned to paint any of kit 5 but on seeing the back view I have decided to paint the backing plate and brake drum.

I shall now dissemble everything and get my spray gun out.
