17 August 2005 - Mike used Pin-Striping tape available from Frost 

The pin striping tape makes lining painless.  The tape is 1" wide an has 8 x 1/16" perforated strips down the middle.  It is simply stuck down whole and one or more of the 1/16" wide sections removed.  It is then a simple matter to paint perfectly straight lines.

It is also worth checking out PinStripingUK who sell brushes for traditional pinstriping as well as special masking tapes.
